The Cultural Triangle

Sri Lanka’s Cultural triangle is situated in the centre of the island and covers an area which includes the World Heritage cultural sites of the Sacred City of Anuradhapura, the Ancient City of Polonnaruwa, the Ancient City of Sigiriya, the Ancient City of Dambulla and the Sacred City of Kandy. Due to the constructions and associated historical events, some of which are millennia old, these sites are of high universal value; they are visited by many pilgrims, both laymen and the clergy (prominently Buddhist), as well as by local and foreign tourists.

It is also possible that you will be travelling on to a next destination in the Cultural Triangle (or Sri Lanka). Kandy View will be happy to quote you a most competitive price.

Our cars and vans are all new and are cleaned every day. Our drivers are very experienced and speak English

For information about a day-trip to Dambulla and Sigiriya go to that (sub)page or click here

Kandy View proposes a day-trip to the ancient sites of Dambulla and Sigiriya. You will travel in an air conditioned van and will leave the Kandy View Hotel preferably at 8am (after breakfast) and will be back in Kandy between 5 and 6pm.

Of course we will be happy to offer you tailormade travel if you want to see other sites or cities in the Cultural Triangle.

Please make sure you wear good walking shoes on your trip.
